Tagged!!!

So my partner-in-scrap Rachel tagged me, thanks Rach, so here goes it!

ALL are invited to join in the Links fun! PLEASE just follow the rules! Just copy paste THIS and everything below up until my Five links: I thought it would be cool to have a meme where we post links. We can post up to five. Then we tell five more people to share their links. If we all share who tagged us, our links are sure to be seen! They can be business links, favorite sites, affiliate links, whatever you want…There are Five Rules:

1. MUST be clean. No R rated sites.
2. Only FIVE links.
3. MUST tell 5 people.
4. A link back to the person who tagged you
5. Lara’s Place is the meme originator. (an active link is appreciated)

Ok, seems simple enough so here goes it.

1. Spoofee: I check this website at least 2-3 times a week. They post the best deals, freebies and coupons from all over the net. I've received a few free magazine subscriptions just by checking out their daily list of offers and freebies.

2. Hulu: Free TV shows??!! Yup!!! Past and present tv shows can be found on this site along with full lenght movies. I've watched a few episodes of "Who's the Boss?" and part of "Dude Where's My Car" lol.

3. People.com: Gotta catch up on the latest celeb gossip!!! :)

4. Internet Movie Database: For all those "who's that one girl that's in that one movie that was in that other movie with Kevin Bacon" moments. LOL

5. Digital Scrapbooking Magazine: Gotta get inspiration from somewhere, right?!! lol

Ok so who to tag??!! hhmm......

1. Dani
2. Misty
3. Hillary
4. Stephanie
Ok, I don't have a 5th yet but MEGAN when you get your blog up and running I'm going to tag you :)

Marchstache

So apparently, unbeknownst to me (and everyone else in the world), it's Marchstash month. Hmm....can you guess what that means??!!! lol Yup, Conor has a mustache. Yuck!!!

So the guys next door decided that March was going to be Marchstash. All the guys have been growing a mustache since the beginning of March. Well, as most of you know Conor has more than a mustache. So instead he decided to work his way backwards to the mustache. Since our anniversary was this month I told him he COULD NOT do anything to his facial hair until after the 15th. Well sure enough after our anniversary he started working towards just a mustache. Here's the progression pictures.

Ugh, I can't wait for March to be OVER!!

I'm on a Creative Team!! :)

So I am now on a creative team for Scrappin Digi Kreations. For those of you who don't know what that is I'll explain. :)
As a member of the SDK Kreative Team I get to create 6 layouts per month from 3 designer kits that I get to pick myself. So I get to play with kits that cost $$ for free!! I love it. It's so much fun.
So far this month I've done 3 layouts.

Katelyn Update

So Katelyn is 8 months and growing way too fast. She's 17 lbs 5 oz, up only 3 oz from her appointment in January. The pediatrician is not worried at all though. We took her to get her hips x-rayed a few weeks ago. At Eureka Ped's it's standard procedure to x-ray the hips of breached babies. The xray showed a slight problem with the right side of her hip so we went in and had an ultrasound done on it. The ultrasound tech told us he didn't see anything that was of real concern but that a radiologist will be looking it over also. When I got home last night there was a message from pediatricians office asking me to call back so they can discuss the ultrasound with me so I'll update after I talk to them.
Katelyn has a goopie eye right now. She's on eye drops but the poor baby has pink around here eye and has nasty green eye boogers. Hopefully the drops will kick in soon.

Here's some recent pictures of Katelyn. Enjoy!! :)

5 Years Today...

was one of the best days of my life. Conor and I got married. It was the most amazing day and I will never forget it.
So much has happened in these past 5 years. Conor graduated Humboldt State University; I traveled to London & Nigeria, Africa; Conor and I went to Cleveland and visited the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame; we had Katelyn; we've moved 4 times; Conor got rid of the Nova and got the truck; my grandma passed away; and Michael Jackson is MY creapy! lol (that's for you Adam!)

So here's a page I scrapped today. It's one of my favorites. :)

YAY for Rachel!!!

So my digital scrapbooking friend Rachel just made her very first mini-kit. It's called Coffee Talk. You can snag it for free over at her blog, Simply Rachel-Uncensored. I was so excited for her and her new kit, that I made a page with it. Great kit Rachel!! :)

Yup, that's me, in London, holding Jimmy Hendrix Flying V guitar. It was sooo awesome. Conor was so jealous.

Exhausted

That's the best word to describe how I feel right now.

Dani, Cammy and I ran the Foggy Bottoms Milk Run & Walk yesterday. We ran the 4.1 mile. Well I ran/walked it. Dani was a good motivator throughout the race though. 4.1 miles is a long ways dang it. I didn't realize that....lol.

So, I have to tell you all something really funny that happened a few nights ago and I'm going to try my best to explain it. Me, my sister, Conor and Adam were watching Kris play Wii fitness. He was picking which character he wanted to be and Michael Jackson's Wii character flashed on the screen. Conor, Jennie, and Adam all said, "Michael Jackson is so creepy" and for whatever reason the following came out of my mouth "Michael Jackson is MY creepy". Um....what?!?!?!?!?! I really have no idea why I said that except maybe my mommy brain??!!

I scrapped a few pages over the weekend. Here they are:

Grrr Google, Hilly & more QOTC pages

I'm a little irritated at google right now. I'm having major problems uploading the last 5 pages of QOTC to show you all. And for some reason this post is not saving....guess I'm move it to word for now.

Well I'll blog about something else for now. I have a good internet friend named Hillary. She has the cutest little boys, Max and Owen. Owen is about a week older than Katelyn. We are both members of a message board on Ivillage. We met through the board and now chat on a pretty regular basis on Yahoo Messenger. Through our chats I've discovered that we are scarily alike. It's really almost freaky. She loves Cherry Coke like I do, although right now I drink Coke Zero because I’m trying to lose weight. I have introduced her to the world of digital scrapbooking. She also scraps the ‘old fashioned way’ but I’m hoping to convince her to change, hehe. She hates drama, just like I do. There was major drama on our message board this past week and we both ranted back and forth as to how dumb the drama is and how people just need to get over it. I won't bore you with the details because it was so D-U-M-B. Dare I even say our husbands have a bit of alikeness too. Her husband plays piano and my husband started out playing piano but now plays bass & guitar. Anyways, Hil thanks for being my friend! :)

Hmm….what to blog about next??!! Maybe I should blog about Misty!!! lol Misty, let me just say that you are soooooooo lucky I can’t remember why I was going to blog about you. It would have been juicy…lol

Ok on to the rest of QOTC. The 6th one was “Oh to see you smile”. We had to use a particular quote on our page. I love this smiling picture I got of Kate recently:

The 7th one was 'Splish Splash'. Kate loves her bath, as you can tell:

The 8th one was “The Look” and I love the look Kate gave me here:

Phew I’m getting exhausted just blogging about these layouts. The 9th and 10th were scraplifts. Basically you look through someone’s gallery and find a layout that you will copy an idea or the whole page from:

Ok that's it for now. Wish me luck today....I'm running 4.1 miles in the Foggy Bottoms Run. I'll let you know how I do. :)

BUSY BUSY BUSY!!!!

First of all let me say that I PROMISE I won't go that long with out blogging again. It's been a but busy around here and in all honesty I can't even tell you what I've been busy doing. The last weekend in Feburary my scrapbooking frined, Rachel, and I participated in a challenge on the GDS site called Queen of the Crop. Basically 2 designers give away 2 kits for participating in themed challenges. There are 10 different challenges total.
The first one was Kids Say The Darndest Things. We were suppose to scrap something funny our kids have said. Well we all know Kate doesn't talk so I scrapped something funny that Jennie said as we were kids:
The next one was to scrap your child goofing off. Well Kate doesn't really 'goof off' but she does like to play with her toys:
The next one was to be 'my masterpiece'. Well my masterpiece, the event I've waited my whole life for was the birth of my daughter Kate. Here's that page:
The next one was to scrap your childs favorite item. Kate loves her blankie.
The fifth one was to be an interview with your child and if your child can't talk yet you were to pick a picture and do a thinking bubble of what they may be thinking.

This is only challenges 1-5. I tried uploading the other 5 and it keeps giving me an error so I'll try again after I post this one.
