Scrapping Goal

Last year I had heard about people setting scrapping goals. Basically you pick a number for how many layouts you want to create over the year. So this year I decided to set one for myself!
I checked out my gallery at Scrap Orchard, where most of my layouts are, and found I had scrapped a little over 150 pages last year! That blew me away. Over 150? Wow! So this year I'm not gonna go crazy and try and top that but I'd like to scrap 100 and also print out 100! The printing will be the challenge since I haven't really printed any of the layouts I've scrapped. I know, bad Christie!

While I was looking through my gallery I thought I'd post a few of my favorite layouts:

It's a new year, how about a blog post?

Yup, haven't been on here in a while but it's a new year and so I figured why not post a little something?

Here are some photos from today. The sun was shinning bright when we woke up! I felt motivated so I cleaned up the wood storage area and prepared it for a wood delivery and organized/cleaned the garage. When daddy got home from work the kids begged him to lift them up on his hands! It's an amazing sight! 

And with that, here is to 2013!

Couponing Post

I went couponing this morning after I dropped Dylan off at childcare and before I went to work. I had written out everything in my handy dandy couponing notebook, clearly marked the quantities and which coupon(s) to use and also brought my coupon binder along with me just in case! I was in and out of Safeway in 45 minutes which is about normal.
Here is what I walked away with:

2 avocados

3 yellow onion

1 bunch of cilantro

2 green bell peppers

1 lime

1 jalapeno

4.03 lbs bananas

4 red roma tomatoes

1, 10 ct flour tortillas

4 cups shredded cheese

1 lb sliced mozzarella cheese

2 cups parmesan cheese

24 count eggs

17 various Yoplait yogurts

4 various Tillamook yogurts

2 pkgs lasagna noodles

1 jar Skippy peanut butter

32 oz cottage cheese

32 oz sour cream

2 4-count boxes drumstick ice creams

2 packages bacon

4 packages sausage

1 $50 itunes gift card

Total paid: $99.78 for $171.53 in product (42% savings)

I think I did pretty well considering Safeway has always been the 'expensive store' however I've learned that if you wait for the sale, pair up the item(s) with coupons and J4U deals, you can actually score big. 

And there my friends is my first post in MONTHS. I'm hoping it's the first of many to come about couponing, scrapping, kids, family and life.

St Patrick's Day & Scrapping

Well for this holiday I wasn’t as prepared as I was for Valentines Day, but did have some things that I had picked up at the store.

Last night at dinner Dylan became obsessed with saying belly button “bee b” and pointing to it. It was just so cute I snapped some pictures:

yeah yeah…

Yeah I know it’s been awhile….what, 5 months or so? Well I know it’s no excuse but live is just busy! I won’t go into details and bore you on what the last 5 month have been filled with.
Life is great for us Lemmons. We moved into a bigger house which was needed! Dylan and Katelyn both have their own rooms finally! We also have a dining room! We love to sit down for dinner, let Kate pray for us, and then enjoy a meal as a family. Our new house is also close to my parents so it’s been fun having them stop over for a quick visit or dinner.
Kate started preschool this past year and is loving it. She comes home sharing something new every week! She is also in gymnastics and loves that. Her two favorite teachers are Hannah and Shannon.
Dylan has recently learned how to walk, at 15 months (just like Katelyn did). Once he learned how to walk all he does is follow Katelyn around just wanting to be near and around her. He also loves to climb on everything and anything he can. As he is becoming more active I’m beginning to see the differences between boys and girls!
Conor and I are about to celebrate our 8 year wedding anniversary. I can’t believe it’s almost been 8 years! It has seriously flown by and I can’t wait to see what is in store for us in the coming years.
I’m still enjoying digital scrapbooking. I’ve updated the sidebar with my Creative Teams. I’m on 7, the most I’ve ever been on and I love it!! I’m CT’ing for all the designers that I LOVE!
